Advanced Vocational Education |
| Advanced Vocational Education and Training (KY in Swedish) is a form of post-secondary education, commissioned by the Swedish government and designed to correspond to the actual requirements of the employment market. The aim of AVET is to provide a combination of practical skill and in-depth theoretical knowledge. The interplay between theory and workplace training is important for the quality of the programme.
The student is entitled to financial support in accordance with the current regulations for higher education. The education programme at Sälj&Marknadshögskolan varies between one and two years and results in a KY degree. |

Workplace learning – an opportunity for your company |
| AVET emphasises workplace-based learning. One third of the duration of the programme is spent at a workplace. In contrast to the traditional traineeship period, the workplace-based learning within AVET is an active workplace learning and problem-solving in an overall educational context.
For our two-year long international programme we at Sälj&Marknadshögskolan encourage our students to seek their workplace learning company in an international context. The student fulfils a full-time role, both as a work resource and as an active observer, as he or she develops the analytical skills needed to carry out an advanced study task that should be linked to the host company's business activities. The study task could either be oriented towards sales or towards marketing.
